What is Vitamin C?
Vitamin C, or ascorbic acid, is a water-soluble vitamin that plays a crucial role in antioxidant protection, collagen synthesis, immune function, iron absorption, and tissue repair. The body cannot produce or store Vitamin C, so it must be obtained through diet or supplementation.
Why Get Vitamin C Through an IV?
IV therapy delivers Vitamin C directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the gut for 100% absorption and therapeutic dosing far beyond oral limits. Oral absorption saturates at ~2g, while IV doses can safely reach 25–75g or more for advanced protocols.
Benefits of IV Vitamin C
- Rapid immune response against colds, flus, and viruses
- Deep tissue antioxidant detox (mold, Lyme, autoimmune support)
- Collagen stimulation for skin, joints, and recovery
- Metabolic support and adrenal restoration
- Safe, non-toxic integrative therapy alongside other treatments
High-Dose Vitamin C for Advanced Use
Doses above 10g may act as a pro-oxidant within tumor cells, producing hydrogen peroxide to support tumor suppression and reduce chemo side effects. Functional and integrative oncology protocols use high-dose IV Vitamin C for enhanced quality of life and therapeutic benefit.

G6PD Testing Requirement
A G6PD (Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase) test is required before receiving >10g Vitamin C IV. This screens for rare enzyme deficiencies that could increase risk of hemolysis. We can order this lab or accept results from your provider.
Which IVs Contain Vitamin C?
Total Wellness IV, Recovery IV, Super Immune Boost, Immune Armor Elite, Inflammation Reset IV, Digestive Rescue IV, and Jet Lag IV.
Available as a Subcutaneous (SQ) Shot?
High-dose effects require IV for plasma concentrations. SQ injections are available for weekly maintenance, immune support, or travel, often combined with B12, Glutathione, or other nutrients.
